The Old Corkscrew

The Old Corkscrew is based in Franschhoek. This picturesque town which is nestled in the wine lands of the Western Cape, is a comfortable fifty minute drive from Cape Town. Franschhoek is known as the gourmet capital of South Africa boasting more than thirty five restaurants many situated on award winning wine farms. Jeremy and June Astfalck opened the shop in 1994 and it is now one of the premier antique shops in the country. With a strong emphasis on wine related antiques, including Africa’s largest collection of antique corkscrews, it is a firm favourite with many of our local and international visitors.
